Funding Solutions Deutschland (FSD) completes buyout of Ryder’s pension obligations effective December 2023. This constitutes the seventh pensioner firm / buyout transaction for FSD.
Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE: R) is a leader in supply chain, dedicated transportation and fleet management solutions. Ryder chose a pensioner company structure as the sustainable solution for their German pension obligations. Resulting from a structured selection process, the Company opted to partner with FSD. Legal advice to Ryder for this transaction was provided by Jones Day.
Obligations to beneficiaries are fully funded, with FSD taking over the existing entity into run-off. The funds will be sustainably managed according to the FSD Governance catalogue.
