Sandra Rubin-Schwarz (née Epple), long-standing expert in corporate pensions and investments at BMW Group, joins Funding Solutions as Director Pensions & Investment Office. She supports FSD clients as well as pensioner companies in governance, management and administration of pension schemes.
Sandra Rubin-Schwarz has extensive expertise in pensions and investments alike. After studying international business administration at Dublin City University and ESB Reutlingen and a trainee program at BMW Group, she worked in various functions within BMW. As an expert in asset & pension management, she supported the funding of German pension obligations, the introduction of a defined contribution (DC) system for management in the finance department alongside Wolfgang Degel on the HR side. Subsequently, she strengthened her investment experience as a senior investment consultant at Mercer. Back at BMW Group, she was able to greatly broaden her perspective on corporate pension schemes and compensation, most recently as Head of Compensation, Benefits, HR M&A. In addition, governance for the BMW Group’s global pension plans was established under her responsibility and large parts of the BMW AG workforce were converted to a defined contribution (DC) system. Her expertise in finance and HR, in both strategic and operational areas, combined with major project experience and HR M&A on both client and consulting side give Sandra Rubin-Schwarz a 360 degree view on the topic of corporate pensions.
